Thunder on the lake

Sun. Hydros. Blue Angels. The first weekend in August has been the home for Seafair and the Hydroplane Races since 1959. This once powerhouse of a sport has grown smaller over the years, but the legends live on. Nothing is more Seattle than the Seafair races.

The Sinclair Project

Authors Jodie and Billy Sinclair met in the Death House at Angola State Prison in 1981. She was a posh TV News Journalist. He was an award-winning inmate reporter. They instantly fell in love on that fateful day and fought a 25 year battle to free Billy from an unjust sentence.

Firestorm

For the first time, the story of one of the most notorious crimes in Seattle history is told from all sides, including the man who pleaded guilty and served 23 years in prison. An unbiased and unfiltered examination of what happened, and how it still affects the lives of those involved over 25 years later.

Concrete Mama

The Washington State Penitentiary in Walla Walla, WA is among the oldest operational prisons in the country. With that comes a rich, dark history. A series of shorts examines the time period in the 1970s when the prison was part of a great experiment that put the power in the hands of the prisoners, and the ensuing chaos that followed.

Born penniless in Detroit, raised in poverty and foster care, and a young initiate to gang life, William Bailey Bullard defied all odds to become a basketball phenom and spend thirteen years on the world-famous Harlem Globetrotters. Now retired and using his voice and skills to help others, we trace his incredible rags to riches story from his early upbringings in Detroit all the way to North Korea at a sit-down dinner with Kim Jong Un; from setting three Guinness World Records to fighting to exonerate his imprisoned brother along the way.
